This is another excellent free application that can be updated with definitions at any time. It's a good practice to scan your computer at least once a week for unwanted adware programs installed. The other thing that needs to be checked is if you have Windows XP, make sure your firewall is activated. If it isn't, you would probably get a warning and a clickable link to the location to turn it on. In the event you want to check for yourself navigate to: click Start , click Control Panel , and then double-click Windows Firewall .
